| Since its founding in August 2002, Le Vent du Nord has quickly become one of the most recognizable and esteemed bands of Quebec traditional music world. The group is now comprised of singers and multi-instramentalists Nicolas Boulerice, Simon Beaudry, Oliver Demers and Rejean Brunet. Their energy captivates and mesmerizes all audiences. Le Vent du Nord offers enlivening concert experience, characteristics by its authenticity, sensibility and humor, and sprinkled into a special place by these four engaging characters. The spirit and roots of Quebec traditional music permeate the concert: Frenzied podorythms, fiddle an accordion, as well as refined orchestrations colored by a savage sounding hurdy gurdy, superb 4 voice harmonies, traditional airs, original compositions, ballads, complaints and call and answer songs. |
